When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it,
it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to
someone else. Most people in the city rush around so,
they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see
it whether they want to or not.
– Georgia O’Keeffe
Flowers are one of my favorite subjects to photograph, and I so miss them during the winter months here in the Pacific Northwest. So during this season I splurge on bouquets from the market, they’re not the lovely wildflowers I prefer but having them in my home makes me happy.
I took this photo last night while waiting for dinner to cook, a small lily bouquet on my kitchen windowsill.
Thanks for reading about my painting and photography. My last three blogs are below.
