Happy New Year!

This morning we loaded the car with everything needed for a day of fun in the snow. Snowshoes, skis, warm clothes, munchies’ check, we headed for Hurricane Ridge. We’d checked the weather for the ridge via its two webcams; one said 14 degrees the other 29 degrees. It was 35 at our house so optimistically we figured possibly 30 at the ridge WRONG. I was utterly unprepared for the icy cold wind that greeted me when I opened the car door, yes it was 15 degrees. Now I know which webcam to relay on for temperatures.

So while the frosty climate altered our thoughts regarding snowshoeing and skiing it didn’t dissuade me from snapping a few photos. It was a winter wonderland!
