We’re painting a new mural for the Necedah Wildlife Refuge visitor center in Wisconsin.

Most often I’m the one who’s behind the scene, acting as project manager, for many of our art projects. But now and then Larry and I collaborate on some of our ventures. Often it’s using a combination of his painting and my photography, other times our writing and art merge and now and then we paint a large mural together. The last large mural we painted together is in Twenty-Nine Palms, California. The 90’x15′ wall took us 17 days (we had a 3 week deadline). I’m still amazed we finished on time. When I first saw the blank wall my response was something like ‘we’re in big s— this time. ‘ Lesson to self ‘never underestimate Larry’s painting speed!

I thought it might be fun to document the process of this mural. These photos were taken yesterday and the end of day #2.

More about the mural next time.

Thanks for reading.
